Ways to Support UCP

Every act of community support helps create opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive. Whether you volunteer your time, provide essential resources, support a campus project, or help a family during the holidays, your involvement strengthens the UCP community.

Last year, our community contributed:

  • More than 11,000 volunteer hours

  • 435 individual volunteers

  • 18 volunteer groups supporting UCP campuses, programs, and events.

  • During the holiday season, 95 individual donors and businesses joined Help 4 the Holidays, and 91 gift wrappers helped prepare more than 3,050 gifts for UCP families.

Behind every hour, donation, and volunteer effort is an opportunity to make a difference in a child’s experience or help a family access the support they need. This year, we’re looking forward to growing that impact together.

What Community Support Looks Like

Community partnerships help UCP create more inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environments for the children and families we serve.

American Eagle sponsored a brand-new sensory room at UCP’s BECA campus, giving students a dedicated space to explore, engage, regulate, and learn in an environment designed around their individual needs. This investment creates space for different ways of learning and gives students another opportunity to feel supported throughout their school day.

At UCP’s BCA campus, community volunteers came together to paint the parking lot, helping refresh the campus environment that students, families, and staff experience every day. It’s a reminder that even hands-on projects can contribute to a more welcoming place to learn and grow.

Our corporate partners also help bring meaningful experiences to life. Altrusa has supported event preparations, including our silent auction, while teams from Charles Schwab and Universal have worked alongside our production team to help make major events possible. Their time helped UCP deliver experiences that connect our mission with the broader community.

Each of these efforts looks different, but they share a common purpose: helping UCP children and families feel supported by a community that cares. When individuals, businesses, and community groups contribute their time and resources, they help build stronger campuses, create meaningful experiences, and provide additional support for families.

Volunteer with UCP

Your time can make a difference. Volunteer at one of our campuses, help bring a UCP event to life, participate in a service project, or organize a volunteer day with your workplace, school, or community organization.

Whether you have a few hours to give or are looking for an ongoing opportunity, you can get involved throughout the year. Every contribution helps strengthen the programs and experiences that support UCP students and families. Our annual events and initiatives below outline our ongoing opportunities.

Join Us for the Lake Scary 5K

Be part of a community event that directly supports UCP’s mission. Run or walk the Lake Scary 5K, form a team, volunteer on race day, or invite friends, family, and coworkers to join you.

All funds raised through the Lake Scary 5K directly benefit UCP Seminole in Lake Mary, supporting the campus and the students and families it serves. By participating, you’re helping turn community enthusiasm into direct support for UCP’s work.

Help 4 the Holidays

For some families, the holiday season brings additional financial challenges. Help 4 the Holidays brings the UCP community together to help families experience the season with additional support.

Individuals, families, businesses, and community groups can sponsor a family, donate gifts, organize a collection, or volunteer as a gift wrapper.

Last year, the program helped prepare more than 3,050 gifts for UCP families. This year, we hope to extend that support to even more families. Your participation can help make the holidays a little brighter for a family in our community.

Food Pantry Support Throughout the Year

Community support matters long after the holidays end. UCP families may need assistance with everyday essentials, and your generosity can help connect them with additional resources.

You can support the UCP Food Pantry by donating needed items or contributing new children’s clothing and shoes to help families access essentials throughout the year.

These contributions help UCP meet practical needs while strengthening the support network available to the families we serve.

Be Part of the Impact

Every volunteer, donor, business, and community partner has a role to play in helping UCP children and families thrive. Whether you give your time, share your resources, support an event, or bring a group together for a service project, your involvement helps turn community support into meaningful action.

Contact the UCP Development Team at development@ucpcfl.org if you're ready to get involved and learn more about volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, and ways to support UCP.

Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of UCP children and families.
