This onboarding journey will guide you through each step of the process so you know exactly what to expect, what action to take, and what comes next.
Completing each step promptly helps ensure a smooth and timely start.
What you should know:

Your Human Resources Onboarding Coordinator will be your main point of contact throughout this process.

Most positions require an FBI Level 2 background check, which includes fingerprinting and a drug test.

Many forms and instructions will be sent via email, please check your inbox, spam, and junk folders regularly.

INITIAL CLEARANCES
Your first action item is to complete and sign all required onboarding forms.
What to expect:

Forms will be sent electronically via DocuSign.

Please review all documents carefully before signing.
Common forms include:

Staff Record Form (if applicable)

Offer Letter

Job Description

Fair Credit Reporting Act Acknowledgment

Florida Drug-Free Workplace Consent Form
Estimated completion time: 15–30 min
Completing these forms as soon as possible helps prevent delays later in the process.

BACKGROUND CHECK & SCREENING
Includes three required parts: background check, fingerprinting, and drug testing.
Completing each part promptly is essential, as this step typically takes the longest.

BACKGROUND CHECK (Initial Review)

This review confirms eligibility to move forward with fingerprinting.

Processing times vary by district but typically take 3–5 business days once submitted.\
You will be notified by the HR Onboarding Coordinator once your background check has been reviewed and cleared to proceed.

ORIENTATION & TRAINING
Once all clearances are received, you will move into orientation and training.
