RJ Mitte’s inspiring film "Triumph" hits digital platforms Movie debuts on Vudu February 27th

ORLANDO, Fla. (February 27, 2024) — RJ Mitte's (Breaking Bad) uplifting film "Triumph" is making a triumphant run on digital platforms including a debut on Vudu Tuesday, February 27th. Alongside Mitte, the film also stars Terrance Howard, Johnathon Schech, Colton Haynes, Grace Victoria Cox, Allee Sutton Hethcoat and more.

Inspired by screenwriter Michael Coffey’s personal life, "Triumph" is a compelling story set in the '80s about a young man with cerebral palsy who overcame every obstacle thrown his way.

The heartwarming tale follows the journey of Mike, portrayed by Mitte, as he navigates the challenges of high school and pursues his dreams against all odds.

Determined to prove himself, Mike sets his sights on joining the wrestling team as a senior, despite doubts and cynicism from others.  Amidst the trials and tribulations, Mike finds support in a new coach who champions the underdog, a loyal best friend, and an unwaveringly supportive father. Together, they challenge Mike to push beyond his limitations and embrace his inner strength.

Mitte, who has cerebral palsy himself, has been a strong supporter of UCP of Central Florida for many years – participating as a host of their annual charity gala.  The film will be donating a portion of the proceeds to UCP of Central Florida and UCPA National.

“We are so proud of RJ and this film which has a powerful message about determination and perseverance and all the traits we hope our children embrace” said Dr. Ilene Wilkins, CEO of UCP of Central Florida who also served as one of the executive producers.
