UCP Charter Schools was awarded a grant for a new initiative to help increase learning gains for students by ensuring access to highly effective and diverse teachers and other school leaders.

 

The three-year grant, entitled Project ELEVATE (Elevating Learning by Empowering and Valuing Advancement of Teacher and other Educators), will provide funding to address multiple challenges associated with achieving higher outcomes.​​

​Challenges Project ELEVATE will address:

  • Recruitment and retention of effective teachers and leaders in high-need schools

  • Building capacity in teacher leadership through the development and implementation of TeachMastery

  • Additional teacher mentor/coaching with master teachers and model classrooms

  • Development and implementation of the KEY Program (Key Engagement for Yay-Worthy – a gamification incentive program)

  • Principal Academy and School Leader in Resident program

  • Building Instructional Leadership Teams (ILT)

Internship Opportunities

Gain Experience with our specifically designed education internships

UCP of Central Florida education internship programs include Level I and Level II opportunities designed specifically for students seeking an Education degree in a university teacher preparation program.

Get Paid to Intern!

You can be paid during your internship. Paid internships are dependent upon the universities approval. 

Internship Incentives:

Interns can earn Employee Incentive Rewards during their internship.

ALSO: an intern who chooses to pursue an internship at a UCP location other than BCA or BECA will receive up to an additional $5,000

Our Job Share Program provides a flexible opportunity for educators to share a full-time position while they pursue an advanced degree.

Principal Apprentice Program
The Principal Apprentice Program offers aspiring school leaders a structured, hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced administrators. Participants engage in leadership responsibilities, school operations, and instructional oversight.

Principal Certification Program
The Principal Certification Program is a comprehensive leadership development pathway for educators pursuing school administration. This program provides structured mentorship and field-based experiences that result in principal certification.

2025 Summer Future Teacher Academy
Get Started with your future in Education

High School

UCP is looking for High School Students who are aspiring teachers and interested in learning the ropes of teaching in our 2025 Summer Future Teacher Academy. This experience will include a combination of professional development, mentoring, and hands-on work experience at designated UCP campus locations.

Undergraduates

UCP is looking for undergraduate college students who are aspiring teachers and interested in learning the ropes of teaching in our 2025 Summer Future Teacher Academy. This is a paid opportunity that will include travel costs and a combination of professional development, mentoring, and hands-on work experience at designated UCP campus locations.

  • What does the program cover?
    The program coverstuition assistance, mentorship, application assistance for your FAFSA and College Application, financial assistance for the cost of books, and an opportunity to intern with us as you finalize your degree program.
  • How much financial support would I receive?
    Up to $1200 per traditional semester and up to $300 for books per semester.We also offer reimbursement of your certification assessment fee upon successful completion.
  • What type of assistance or guidance would I receive throughout the program?
    Monthly check-in with an appointed mentor who will support you based on your goals and needs throughout the program. Exam practice & study sessions will also be available as you prepare for the certification assessment.
  • Do I have to be in a certain role/position to participate in this program?
    Yes! Teacher Assistants, Lead Teacher Assistants, Paraprofessionals, Behavioral Coaches, and Instructional Assistant Teachers who are interested in becoming a certified teacher can participate.
  • What are my next steps to get started?
