UCP Miracles: Jose’s Story

Jose was born with cerebral palsy and began attending UCP in 8th grade, and today, is a recent UCP Transitional Learning Academy graduate. Jose continues to receive therapy services at UCP and participates in TLA’s College/Career Transition Program. Through this program, Jose interns at Tijuana Flats as a greeter to build career skills. From his internship at Tijuana Flats, Jose has learned skills that he can use in any career he chooses such as applying work ethic and how to interact with customers. According to the general manager of Tijuana Flats, Jose has been nothing but positive and a success for the restaurant.
