Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in UCP of Central Florida and the children we serve. From helping with special events to volunteering in our centers, there are many opportunities available that will allow you to experience the work we do. Please take a moment to read about some of the exciting opportunities we have available.
- Annual Gala – Selling gala tables, securing auction items, setting up, directing guests and registration.
- Arts & Craft s – Volunteers assist children with art projects that stimulate creativity and sensory integration.
- Book Buds – Participate in book readings hosted at six of UCP’s seven campuses.
- Cleaning of classroom and therapy equipment.
- Clerical - Typing, filing, mailings, answering the telephone, special projects, etc.
- Data Entry
- Maintenance / Construction / Landscaping Helpers – Volunteers are needed to assist with special
maintenance/construction/and landscaping projects, painting, etc. - Meal Time Helpers – Volunteers are needed to assist children during breakfast and lunch.
- Recreational Activities – UCP hosts dances for teenagers and adults with disabilities at the Loch Haven Park Neighborhood Center. Volunteers assist with collecting tickets, handing out refreshments and ensuring guests are enjoying themselves.
- Special Committees
- Special Event Helpers – We host several golf tournaments, children’s parties, family fun nights and other special events throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to solicit silent auction/raffle items, set-up, work, and break down the event, and coordinate activities for guests, families and children.
- Wish List Drives - Collect items that the agency uses on a daily basis, i.e., batteries, wipes, gift cards,
playground toys, school supplies, etc.
