Senior Director of Operations

Job Summary


The Sr. Director of Operations of UCP of Central Florida is responsible for the development and execution of strategies that support the revenue and client growth, process optimization and compliance of the three major program areas of UCP – therapy, education and support services. The Sr. Director of Operations assists in identifying and executing potential new program opportunities.The Sr. Director of Operations reports directly to the CEO and supervises the Director of Admissions, Director of Clinical Practices, Credentialing Manager and Regional Manager of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Strong Fiscal Performance

    • Work with the staff to develop and execute an annual fiscal plan for achieving P & L accountability for the agency’s performance to plan/budget including revenue growth; optimizing performance, enhancing margin, and effectively managing expenses 
  • Develop and Execute Efficient and Optimal Processes

    • Identifies opportunities and solutions to increase the agencies financial performance, including a relentless focus on process consistency and execution (Admissions, Therapy, Education, and Office Management).  
    • Guides the team through change management issues; assists in developing appropriate strategies to ensure that plans are adapted when necessary (i.e. to changes in internal prioritization or the external environment)
    • Assists with the development of and challenging project timelines to ensure stretch/realistic targets.
  • Develop and Grow Major Revenue Producers (10%-20% Annually):

    • Increase New Student, Out-Patient and other program participant enrollment
    • Client Retention Rate of 90%
    • Ensure parent satisfaction ratings will be “satisfactory” or “very satisfactory for 90% of the families.
    • Identify, design and develop new programs that drive revenue and enhance quality of care for children and families.
  • Identify, Recruit and Train a Results-Oriented Team:  

    • Identify, recruit and train a results-oriented staff team.   Develop career paths within the organization to improve team member productivity and retention. 
    • Create a UCP of Central Florida culture as a “community of learners”.
    • Assist in development and Implementation of an Operations Strategic Annual Plan  - identifying key goals, objectives & strategies.
    • Conduct regular coaching and performance evaluation sessions with team members, sets action plans for improvements and aggressively follows through on substandard performance.  
  • Community Relations/Connections

    • Participate in community outreach activities to drive business to UCP and develop/enhance new and existing partnerships in the Central Florida area.
  • Lead Customer Advocate

    • Fully optimizes the customer experience by promoting a helpful campus environment and is accountable for leading the agency in exceeding their customer satisfaction performance goals.
    • Ensures that campuses are maintained and meet the standards of our team members and families.
  • Compliance 

    • Ensure all compliance standards/requirements are met including Managed Care/Third Party Billing, School District (non-Education), Early Steps, Department of Children and Families and other contracts.
·       Skill/Experience Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with therapy revenue drivers including managed care, third party reimbursement and billing optimization.
  • Knowledge of Federal/State/Local regulations for therapy practice and charter schools.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), negotiating skills, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving breakthrough results through implementation of projects and value-added change using established best practices in process improvement. 
  • Demonstrated contagious positive energy to promote team engagement and drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and implementation of vision and strategy
  • Strong analytical, process and abstract thinking skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with managers, peers and business partners.
  • Strong critical Thinking & Problem-solving skills: Effectively organizes and analyzes information and anticipates challenges or new information to solve problems. Integrates and acts upon new information quickly, and is comfortable thinking about details and the big picture
  • Strong decision-making skills: Has experience making decisions in a timely manner and in the face of ambiguity. Considers consequences of decisions, willingly stands by difficult decisions, and communicates about decisions. 
  • Strong computer technical skills including intermediate or above Excel/Word.
 
·       Experience/Education Requirement
  • 10-15 years management experience in related field – with increasing responsibility
  • 3-5 Years senior level management experience
  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Public Administration, Health Care Management or a related field preferred
  • Experience/Strong knowledge of Third Party Reimbursement (i.e. Medicaid/Commercial Insurance)
  • Experience identifying/developing and executing new programs/projects.
